Jerk Sweet Onion Bread
8 ounces bread dough ( or frozen bread or pizza dough)
4 large sweet onions ( peeled and sliced thinly)
5 tablespoon virgin olive oil
2 tablespoon dry jerk seasoning
Roll dough out into a large thin circle and place on a lightly greased pizza sheet or cookie sheet
In A medium saucepan sauté onion in olive oil until soft and lightly caramelized, add the jerk seasoning and mix until combined. Cook for another 1 minute. lightly Brush top of dough with olive oil especially the edges. Place onion mixture on top of dough and spread to cover top, leaving the edges bare. Place in a pre-heated oven and bake for 30 minutes until golden. Remove and cut into wedges serve with soup

  1. This sounds mighty appetizing and I am excited about making it. My husband and I both love bread and onions. He used to own a Caribbean restaurant although he is not a cook, he leased it. We both miss the great Caribbean flavors. thanks for sharing.
